Our Story
Behavioral Independence was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every individual — regardless of their diagnosis — has the capacity to learn, grow, and live independently.
Founded by Amanda Lang, BCBA, the practice grew from over 20 years of hands-on experience working with children and families across Volusia County, Florida. Amanda's journey into behavior analysis was driven by a personal conviction that ABA should facilitate independence in all of the lives she is honored and humbled to help — equipping people with what they need to live amazing, successful lives because they put in the work.
Services
We provide personalized, evidence-based ABA therapy for children and young adults with autism and behavioral disorders — at home, at school, and in the community. Every plan is built around your child's unique needs, with one goal in mind: independence.
Clients
We work with children and young adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and related behavioral challenges. Whether your child is newly diagnosed or has been in therapy before, we meet them exactly where they are — and build from there.
At Behavioral Independence, we don't believe in a cookie-cutter approach. Everyone has behaviors, and sometimes those behaviors can hold us back, but there is no one-size-fits-all solution. The work is identifying the root of the problem, focusing on the skills that need building, and paving the path to tangible solutions.
We work where your learner lives: at home, at school, in the community, and we bring families into the process every step of the way. Ready to help your learner start their journey?
